The first Rhetoric Reading Group meeting of the academic year, and the first to be sponsored by the new Wayne State Rhetoric Society, will take place at 3:30 PM, Friday, October 08. The location will be The Motor City Brewing Works (470 W. Canfield Street). Our text will be Nancy S Struever’s Rhetoric, Modality, Modernity (U of Chicago P, 2009).
The 2010 Composition Program Orientation will take place on Tuesday, August 24, from 8:15 AM until 4:30 PM in Room #10302 @ 5057 Woodward. Please note that new PTF and GTAs are required to attend both morning and afternoon sessions, while returning GTAs are required to attend the afternoon session. Â Returning PTF, new graduate fellows, and all other Department members are very welcome to attend all or part of the Orientation, including breakfast and lunch, which will be provided.
