Director of Composition Ellen Barton will deliver an invited lecture entitled “Ethics in Interaction: Ethical Frameworks and Persuasion in Recruitment to Research” at Carnegie Mellon University on 2/28/2008. Professor Barton’s talk is part of CMU’s Rhetoric Colloquiam Series.
Richard Marback’s article “Unclenching the Fist: Embodying Rhetoric and Giving Objects Their Due” appears in the latest issue of Rhetoric Society Quarterly 38.1 (Winter 2008): 46-65.
Professor Ruth Ray will be receiving a faculty service award on February 7, 2008 at the Michigan Institute on Service-Learning and Civic Engagement for her work in developing service-learning programs and courses at WSU. Ruth was nominated by WSU faculty and students and will be among several other professors from around the state to receive the award, which is sponsored by Michigan Campus Compact and the Michigan Community Service Commission.
